A monstrous tornado unleashes ravenous sharks from Washington, D.C., all the way down to Orlando, Florida. When Fin and April go to Florida for the summer vacation, strong winds and lots of rain comes to Florida and a Sharknado comes and destroyes Florida. The Sharknado goes to Washington D.C. and sharks falling from the sky. It's up to Fin and April to stop the Sharknado the third time. …and you blew it!<br/><br/>Minor spoiler alert ahead! <br/><br/>OK! If you are a fan of the original Sharknado, there is virtually NOTHING in this film that is going to surprise you. And thats good!!!<br/><br/>These films are deliberately over the top, totally insane, and frankly just a lot of fun!!!<br/><br/>So what's not to like???<br/><br/>There is a nice twist to the ending which I ADORED!!!<br/><br/>There is not really much you can say - You are getting more of the same over the top nonsense that has made this franchise so damn popular… No one watches these movies for a Story - They watch to see how much more over the top they can get - and BOY this one delivers BEAUTIFULLY!<br/><br/>BUT - There is a very Serious Complaint!!!!<br/><br/>THEY HAD ONE BLOODY JOB!!! AND THEY FAILED TO DELIVER!!!<br/><br/>SPOILER ALERT RIGHT NOW - They managed to get JEDWARD to star in the film!!! JEDWARD!!! YOU KNOW WE ALL WANTED IT!!!!<br/><br/>BUT NO! THEY LIVED!!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO US???<br/><br/>Cameos abound as well… From the late Jackie Collins to so many others… Hell folks, This film is just fun as hell… And I would have rated it a 7 or 8 had they not let JEDWARD live!!!!<br/><br/>Totally Mindless like all its predecessors, Switch your brain off and just enjoy the insanity!<br/><br/>Point of note - How insane is the movie? Maybe not as insane as yo might think and going to be very naughty now and recommend Film Theory on YouTube as MatPat goes through a very shocking theory - And manages to prove that in the right circumstances, a Sharknado is ACTUALLY VERY PLAUSIBLE!!! <br/><br/>Check it out, Well worth a watch… Highly unlikely but the facts remain it IS actually possible! While I enjoyed Sharknado 2 more than the original I can admit that I'm one of the fans that didn't ask for a sequel. This one suffers from sequel-itis and it's obvious since Syfy is basically milking this into franchise.<br/><br/>The film has a very uneven pace mostly due to trying to shoehorn in celebrity cameos, it was cute and funny in the second one but gets annoying in this one. The story this time is about preventing various storms on the east coast from merging together and creating a "Sharkicane" and preventing the end of the world. Which is almost the exact same plot as the last movie Most of the characters are introduced just to be killed off as fast as they're introduced with the exception of David Hasselhoff.<br/><br/>The kills and action are serviceable as best and the self referential humor is still there. The ending takes place in outer space which begs the question what really is there to do in the next movie. The closing scene itself is just sequel bait (obviously since they already announced Sharknado 4) getting people to vote on the fate of Tara Reid's character by using a hashtag. It would have been a good twist to kill off a main character definitively in this movie.<br/><br/>I hate to see this end up like the saw or paranormal activities movies where they wear out their welcome. To quote Mark McGrath from the last movie "You just jumped the shark."
After diverting a sharknado over Washington, D.C., Medal of Freedom and Order of the Golden Chainsaw recipient Finley "Fin" Shepard (<a href="/name/nm0005575/">Ian Ziering</a>) heads for Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida to join his pregnant wife April (<a href="/name/nm0005346/">Tara Reid</a>), their teenage daughter Claudia (<a href="/name/nm1707018/">Ryan Newman</a>), and April's mother May Wexler (<a href="/name/nm0000137/">Bo Derek</a>). Along the way, he also runs into sharknado survivor turned warrior Nova Clarke (<a href="/name/nm2628561/">Cassandra Scerbo</a>). Meanwhile, more sharknadoes are developing, and the sharknado hunters fear that the individual storms may converge into a massive sharknado wall and destroy the entire eastern seaboard. Sharknado 3 is the third movie in the made-for-television disaster film series Sharknado, all of which have been based on screenplays by American screenwriter/director Thunder Levin. It is preceded by <a href="/title/tt2724064/">Sharknado (2013)</a> (2013) and <a href="/title/tt3062074/">Sharknado 2: The Second One (2014)</a> (2014), and followed by <a href="/title/tt4831420/">Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens (2016)</a> (2016), and <a href="/title/tt6298780/">Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017)</a> (2017). Nova clears a hole in the sharknado wall, allowing Fin, April, and Colonel Gil (<a href="/name/nm0001327/">David Hasselhoff</a>) to successfully launch the Independence space shuttle, but they run into another problem when the rocket doesn't break up the storm wall. Gil decides to try using the Strategic Defense System (SDI) satellite, but it requires that he leave the shuttle in order to manually reboot the SDI laser. Consequently, the sharknado wall collapses, but the sharks are propelled into space and begin attacking the Independence. Fin and April are separately eaten by large sharks just before the shuttle explodes into bits, sending all the sharks back to earth where they start to rain upon the beaches. Fin crawls out of one shark's belly while April uses a chainsaw to slice her way, along with her newborn son, out of the other shark. When asked what he's going to name his son, Fin looks up into space and announces that he's going to be name him "Gil", after his father. Meanwhile, Gil has landed on the moon. In the final scene, April bends over to pick up the wings given to them by the Colonel…just as a large fragment of the space shuttle hurtles out of the sky, headed directly for April.
